Maslax came in second place with a surprise big majority in the old TFG parliament (outside of the 200 addition) and this guy has a very big name and is a man that commands attention. Heck he got 300 xildhibaano to write a letter for him announcing to the world their support.
The thing is Maslax was doing all of this to give himself a strong candidacy but he was scaring the bejeezus out of Shiekh Sharif's advisor especially this one guy called Tarzan. They said if this guy has this much support in the parliament with a surprise second finish in the president race, and with his name and influence and old contacts he is going to overshow the government and the president's agenda.
Wallahi this is the big secret that unfolded![]()
Maslax would have had a better chance if he stayed put but I guess he made himself a rep now and fro what I heard he is going to build on it until he can take over the presidency next election.
Cumar Cabdirashiid, no one knows and has no political support. even Puntland did not support him. So Shiekh Sharif's people have nothing to fear about him. They chose the one Darod man who has zero political support inside of Somalia or in the parliament.
All of the Mareexaan men in Djibouti lined up after Maslax and said we rise or sit with him so after Maslax was crossed off no other candidates from Mareexaan to take into consideration while Majeerteen had 7 of them hounding for the title. From Awaare to Xassan Abshr to CIrro but they all got focked over for the novice who has never participated in Somali politics. Shiekh Sharif's advisors wanted someone who was not a threat and they got it, simple as that.
