I find this question ridiculous to say the least. And a nice way to alienate the Muslims. Those that do suicide bombings are wrong, it has nothing to do with them not feeling British enough or etc I don't understand how this will help. If I don't feel British, would this mean I'll blow myself up at Clapham Junction Station?

Advo, that's because Islam is very visible over here, especially the UK.

Unfortunatly, when they refer to muslims and Islam, they often refer to pakistanis living in run down parts of the country.
Whenever they interiew somebody from the religion, they show the ignorant ones from that nationality and portray them to be Islam.

Their obsession with Muslims here has kinda died down. I was reading an op-ed a few days ago about what a cliche it has become in Hollywood to cast Arabs/Muslims as bad guys in movies these days & how no producers want to make such movies. They exhausted the concept to a pulp & now people are tired of the usual tirade. Americans are pretty predictable.

mate europe is the best place to live as muslim. the muslim community in the uk has it good. the host community goes to extreme lengths in oder to accommodate the muslims. this is the only country where you can live without even speaking english becuase everything is provide to you in your own language. the only place where they teach the somali language at school. sometimes im amaze how the british people tolerate muslims who carry posters saying kill all kaffirs in demostartions at the heart of london

What does being british mean to you warsan?

It means being able to go to any part of the world and except them to speak English, it means being treated like royalty and respected throughout the World, thats what it means to be British for me.

On a serious note, I do have a fondness for Britian, cause I was brought up here, and so I have a sense of attachment to this Country. Other than that, I can't pinpoint as to what it actually means to me. I supose it is to honour and protect Britain. Laakin protect it from what? It is Britain that is alway meddling in what does not concern it! Its honour and protection would be secure if it stopped copying and tagging along with America everywhere, and instead connected better with fellow European countries.

It is the radicals ,intolerant ones who truely HATE,that usually make these claims,never look in the mirror,but always blame others for their own shortcomings.
One has to go back to the times of our Prophet to find a muslim ruler who treated christians the same way we muslims in general are treated in the West.

maybe that would open their eyes that nobody gives fuk about this identity they trying had to hold on to it. why dont they ask the Scots or the Irish why they hate the idea of Britishness, instead of making innocent muslims look bad, once again!!
