A lot of these topics have been popping up recently which means that the forumers finally have faith in a future Somalia, possibly due to sheikh shariff winning the election.

With regards to the topic. Most def Agriculture industy. The importance of this industry cannot be under estimated. Somalis must be able to sustain themselves, before any future developments. Land, decent climate and labour are all there.

It is probably easier to identify which industries we do have that are profitable.

I think the most profitable industry and cheapest to re-establish in Somalia is probably tourism.

Second hand cars from Asia.

Chinese everyday household products sell like crazy there.

Cheap mobile phones and other electronics, 1 in 3 Somalis have mobile phones, compared to 1 in 10 Ethiopians  .

Agriculture, somalis like good food. The food quality in Somalia is soooo bad, our bananas, fruits and tomatos are 1/4th the size of those sold in developed countries, everything is so tiny (probably has to do with that they don't use fertilizers and pesticides).

Etc etc

Wth are you mad? loool. Firstly i agree Somalia has great coasts etc that some tourist might be attracted too. laakin tourism is based on reputation and somalia must demonstrate at least 40 years of stabilty in order to be even considered a tourist destination. If you look at the most successful countries Usa, China etc tourism accounts for no more that 5% on their GDP. Somalia should avoid making the same mistakes as other african countries who jumped into developing a tourist industry whilst lacking basic means of sustenance.
