good idea walahi! high tax will be the chance for qaadwale to leave puntland and settle somaliland.

Khat and Tax on Khat = Xaram, Its Drug money, It should be banned.

The government just wants more $$$.

People are still going to buy Khat if the price doubles.....They will cut back on providing for their families so they can have their Khat.

Khat is a focking luxury and if every one wants to eat it than they must pay a heavy price for it and in return the Government makes nice profit. Its impossable to ban Khat but this is the best next thing. :som:

Bye bye Faroole because Khat is the most sensitive issue affecting Bulshada rayidka. Touch khat and you are creating grounds for an uprising: Siyaad & Khat in the 1980s, Makhamiinta and Khat 2006

Well Faroole adminstration is not going to the extreme cause they dare not ban Khat, but making Khat expansive for people to buy is a whole another thing.

Faroole is the guy that vowed that no Khat eating or cigarette smoking person would be named into his cabinet, the dude just really hates Khat and it's likes. :up:
