Organ Donation

I am renewing my license and pondering about whether or not to donate my organs which is a option to add.

Is it haram ?

It's not haraam to take an organ...so i don't see how it would be haraam to donate your organs. How would the system operate otherwise?
Obviously you can't donate vital organs while your living lol

I'm still undecided on the whole thing. Frankly, having my organs harvested and distributed freaks me out a little.

I think they get you after you are declared brain dead but your heart is still beating so that the organs are still fresh

They might take your organs whilst you're still health with minor complications. any excuse to remove them even a minor one is enough to send u early

In the US, they also will not take your blood if you lived in the UK & ate Beef because of Mad Cow fears

i was told receiving organs was allowed, but donating wasn't. i think it was because when you're resurrected (Judgement day) you'd be hurting if any of your organs were missing.

There this time i was helping a somali guy fill the driving application form. One the last question on the form is do you want to be an organ donor? if yes what part? heart? kidney? lungs etc. I asked the guy what he wanted to donate? this is how our conversation went
