Paidmonk; Stop saying you are not a religious man, because what is a religious man? We all sin, it is just that one asks for forgiveness and is conscience of the bad things they do, and other doesn't do any of that. Just pray your 5 daily prayers and all else shall follow insha-allah.

Also people sometimes Allah (swt) in his infinity mercy answers the prayers of the disbelievers, forget about the muslims! Yes, there are pre-conditions for ones dua's been accepted, and that is one should be sincere, one should eat the lawful food, drink etc, and that they are not hasty. Prophet Muhammad said "You will responded to as long as you are not hasty, meaning that a person says, 'I have prayed and prayed and my prayer has not been answered!'" (Bukhari, Muslim) wallahu alim.
