The problem is when the guy converts, she expects him to become like her (at least they way she practices Islam) but almost majority of them become very religious and start to profoundly learn in depth more about the religion; the more they learn, the more they demand her to obey the diin etc and sometimes it leads to divorce. I have seen it happen before.

lool...I have see that too, Advo. Its like Somalis practice their very own brand of mainstream Islam, or something. As So long as they've got the basics covered, the rest is like F' it. or something. lol. Anyway, I know this white guy who's courting this somali girl. They are set to get married and all. She invited him to come with her to an aroos. He said cool, seeing how it was a close friend of hers. As the night approached, this chick dropped the jilbaab, and all the heavy weight attire, Got her hair done and her nails did. She then slid into something that can only be described as a see-through dirac, lol. Super scandalous. As he got to the wedding, it took him a good min to even recognize her. When he finally did...He ran up to her like a typical foreigner and yelled " Sistah, Sistah, Austaghfurullah! What u doing??! Austaghfuruallah, Austaghfurullah" and went on and on and on. Inkaar qabaha wuu ii ceebeeye, bii tiri. LOL Everyone started to look at em and she basically had to bail out on him, like "in iisan aqoonin" as well as the whole wedding, that was still bangin   . From what I hear they are still together, but dhib ayii isku qabaan. He's always like...wait...um...Islam says u arnt supposed to do this...and she's like...I know...but its not soo bad, just for today....lol. She's confusingly corrupting him for sure. He should prolly just pull the plug on her and find a more religious girl, or something, but he refuses as he "LOves her". Yugh!.

My Somalian neighbour girl is married to this Indian guy and he made her dressed up in those ugly indian Skin tight pyjamas and small jambal. As usual, she got a butt as big as a ship in Mombasa port and looks so ugly in this skin tight. everytime I see her, I am like " Get your dirac on for God's sake".

That is not always the case judging from relatives who've ended up with ajnabi women. Besides, dirac is not a traditional Somali dress....it's Yemeni as far as I know. I personally prefer a nice shalwar khamees to some shapeless dirac any day

That is just fair enough i guess. Well, women are always bound to be changed.

^ True. It is one of the preconditions of a marriage, the woman has to take the culture of the man.
