John Terry struck late on to secure victory for England over Ukraine and maintain their 100% record in their World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign. Peter Crouch put England ahead with an acrobatic volley after Terry had headed back across goal from a corner.

Ukraine substitute Andriy Shevchenko smashed home an equaliser after Glen Johnson failed to clear a free-kick.

But England sealed three points when Steven Gerrard nodded down for Terry to tuck the ball in from six yards.

England were abit sloppy tonight but a win is a win, and we still top the group

You should have seen how France struggled to beat a lowly Lithuania
