Checking appearance before Guur

A while back i went to this Muxaadaro and I heard this Sheekh saying that a guy wishes to marry a certain girl,He can inspect her appearance ?(face, body-build, shape etc.)

If that's true it's only fair the girl can do the same thing,to avoid any nasty suprises :mrgreen:

tht's true but seeing body shape means just normal dress and not te huge dress our adies war and not simi naked!!.
it means to tell if she is fat, skiny, big boned and that is it.

and how you dont see any men's body shape?
arent most of me wear pants that shapes body or do you mean to be sami naked?

I even said to my ex wife you have to walk the cat walk in front of me which she did

as long there is muhram in the sitting room nothing will happen

well, wa la ogal yahay to go to see who you want to marry, her face, hands and normal dress without revealing, because that is unislamic.

this sahabi came to prophet asw asking he wants to marry this lady and what he have to do?
prophet told him to go her house and see her face and added that's better for both of you and may lean the heart[as these days, you could feel a chemistry between you if any!]

my self i would see her in front of her father after i send my mother and siters with all my list i like how my wife supposed to look. then go to just look at her face and just have her shy smile onthe face.
