2 senarios. It's either he is truly 16 and he just aged quicker than most because of the tough environment, living in lawless somalia, or he is being saved from the adult legal system, which would be a smart strategy.

The pirate is no where near 16yrs old, It's funny though I've seen my share of claimers who say their 18, when infact they're pushing their 30s, one thing is for sure, he's defly not 16.
