Somalia: Government accuses Eritrea of landing arms in Somalia

MOGADISHU (Mareeg)—Somalia’s government has accused Sunday Eritrea that it brought illegal weapons to Somalia and that the government would take an appropriate step against the illegal weapons.

The security minister of the Somali government Col. Omar Hashi Aden who held a press conference in Mogadishu accused Eritrea that it brought weapons on Tuesday and Friday to Belli Dogle airstrip in Lower Shabelle region.

He said that Eritrea started to send into Somalia planes loaded with weapons and added that it refused to give weapons to the Somali insurgents during the Ethiopian occupation, but now arming Somali factions.

He requested from the world to stop Eritrea of bringing weapons to Somalia and threatened that his government would do something about the illegal weapons.

He also said that Eritrea is never pleased and does not want Somali government.

imagine illiterate and dysfunctional street kids brainwashed and told they are fighting for 'islamic cause' (by tahir aweis who hid his black ass in eritrea when others were fighting against ethiopians and he came came back now to fight somalis) and for jihad. they r not afraid of death and belief their destiny is heaven, while the aideed ilah ha u naxaristo and ali mahdi fighting was for qawiil and most of their militias were drugged but when they sober, they had fears like all humans.

I don't think so, cause if he did something wrong I'd want him out. I supported UIC when Mogadisu had '6-months of peace' even though my 'Reer' kept saying something bad about the UIC. I don't care if the president is from any qabil runnti, as long as they are the right person for the job. It does seem that Sheikh Sharif is out of his depth on this one, but we hope for the best insha-allah.
