"Despite its resemblance to one of Dante’s more uncongenial circles of Hades, I became fond of that nomads’ land, its wilderness silences broken by the khareef - the hot desert wind - the tinkling of sheep bells, the passage of camel-borne caravans and its coastline flecked with dhows, heraldic in the sun. I also developed an admiration for the endurance qualities of the Twiglets-thin, poor but proud Somalis, who claimed, against all evidence, that their land was a Garden of Eden."

1.One thing that is good about Somalis is that they won't let a fellow Somali go hungry if they have food to spare..Even if they are fighting. That is unique for Somalis..

2. If a fellow Somali dies they will collect money for his burial no matter what clan he hails from. Even the most qabilist person will contribute to it.

3. If someone is in trouble or sick all Somalis help contribute.

I believe they are good at hospitality to the extent that we will never see a homeless Somali in the West

- we are God's chosen people.

- nabi aadan and his wife xaawo landed on somalia. so humanity and civilization started in somalia.

- 5000 years ago, we had the great civilization of punt which traded with egypt and other countries.

- kingdoms like ifat, adal, etc ( even though partly controlled by immigrant arabs ) who ruled the trade in the red sea and the indian ocean.

- mujaahid axmed gurey who conquered ethiopia and reached western ethiopia beyond addis ababa.

-somalis were the undisputed heavy weights of all warriors in africa, and we've pushed all non somali tribes 1000s of kilometers, and would have reached modern day south africa if it wasn't for colonialism. the only entities in africa that could have stopped our wild expansion was the highly organized xabashas who had standing armies, and the great nation of zulu!.

- a subclan of somalis ( dhulbahante ) fought and defeated british, ethiopian, and italian armies for 22 years, till taleex and other forts were bombed in 1921, making somalia the first nation outside of europe that airplanes were used against in a battle.

- aabe siyaad made our army the third strongest army in africa ( after south africa and egypt ) and we took on the combined forces of ethiopians, cubans, and russians. somalia once again made history since it became the first country outside of europe to experience airiel envelopment ( a process where a large army of men and their heavy equipment are parachuted in behind enemy lines to surround them )

- once again, a subclan of somalis ( habargidir ) managed to defeat a super power and her UN lackeys. before the infamous october battle, and elderly habargidir man told the colonel in charge of the green berets in muqadisho that somalis are not afraid of the green berets or other american forces, because "only a man ignorant of lions takes their kill away from them" "nin aanan libaax aqoon baa lax ka rita".
when the american colonel returned with his injured and defeated troops on that fateful day in october, he looked for the elderly habargidir man and told him "now i know what u were talking about".

- somali people are entrepreneurs by nature, and we're currently dominating the business scene in nairobi and other parts of kenya. we would have also easily dominated commerce in south africa if it wasn't for those playa hating zulus.

- once again, the indomitable somali balls were shown by the pirates, who set sail from their harbor in many ships and boats to try to face down the powerful US navy in an effort to rescue their somali pirate brothers.

- above all that, we're a model for socialistic government dependant people like americans and europeans ( who think that government is God and that there's death with no government ) that u don't really need a government to survive. the somali people are the only people on earth who are strong enough to survive without government, due to our independent nature, entrepreneurial skills, and pride!.
