negashi means king and the king who was at that time in eritrea was armac king (negash) of midri bahri or king of the sea...king of akulegezai,seraye,hamaseen and autonoumus king of the beja and tigre region of gash,barka,anseba while directly south of him was the kingdom of adal (afar),now Ethiopia claim they were the reciepent of the sahaba but quick facts about eritrea and eritreans been the reciepents of the first,second and third sahaba migrants:
1/according to hadiths from the companions the capital where they went were the ancient capital of eritrea midri bahri debarbwa and the king was known as armac,armac is known to have converted to islam (letter to the prphet pbuh is the proof) as the proof prayed for him when he died,the sahaba was safeguarded in debarbwa( دباروا) where they made their way there through zula were they were met by the local BANI AMER or the xasa THE FIRST CONVERTS and escorted to debarbwa.
2/ethiopian orthodox church dont have a record till this day of any king accepting the sahaba nor a record of a habashi king accepting arab migrants during that time.
3/one of the sahaba (zobeer) decided to join the negashi as he was going to have a battle and he told of a river he crossed (today mereb river which seperates eritrea and ethiopia) and he claimed they prayed for him and he was victorius and the rest of the sahaba were happy upon hearing the victory for the midri bahri negash...that battle is recorded as the battle eritrean fought against the ruler of ethiopia as they always wanted to tax and take land nothing change since then.
4/masjid al sahaba or ras madar is the oldest mosque in the world outside maccah build in 614ad by the migrant sahaba themselves its in the city of massawa,which makes the tigre people of eritrea (bani amer) the first people to convert before medina.
5/ ethiopian orthodox church dont have a record and deny knowing OF ANY KING NOT ONLY THAT ACCEPTED ARAB MUSLIM SAHABA BUT CONVERTED TO ISLAM..WHILE THE ERITREAN KNOW THAT FACT AND ACCEPT IT.
6/ first wave of migration=headed by osman bin afan may allah bpwh.
second wave of migration=headed by jafaar bin abi taleb (prophet pbuh first cousin)
third wave=abu musa shaari. total migrants 282 people.
7/ quote from one of the biggest history and islamic scholar dr rageb mohamed abdelaleem and i quote "The one who recieved the sahaba migrants is not the negashi of ethiopia or neqasi of neqoos but the person who welcomed them were the ruler of the sahel kingdom or bahri negash or king of the sea and his name was known by ashama or as7ama in arabic or armac in english.and he ruled the whole coast opposite the the kingdom of "tahama" today yemen and hejaz coast,and in ethiopian history no record is known for this king while in eritrea an archive is known about him his name is ashama aben abher his capital was debrabwa and is 25km away from asmara.
8/ in 1578 sisi geber denkel moved from his base in harar and destroyed the ancient capital of eritrea debarbwa and with it destroyed many mosques (that time it was really tense time,sensivity between muslims and christians ran high in ethiopia,adal (afari) and part of sudan and it was spilled to midri bahri (eritrea) and both christians and muslims were massacred who were living side by side peacefully for the last 1000 years,many people think eritrean and ethiopian been fighting each other for the 50 years,while the truth the first battle took part in 800bc around the city of matara and the stella of matara is a testimony of people of agazian midri bahri eritreans defeating the aggressors from south of th mereb and since then we never had peace ethiopian "habesha" invaded eritrea on 7 previous occasion and we kicked them out every time last time in 1991.
9/on the time when some of the first sahaba migrants returned to medina,a common word even used by the prophet to express some of the eritreans who were intermarried with the sahaba of showing compliment was the word "sena",this word is strictly tigre and from that word its tigrigna copy "asena" is taken..since tigre was a common language then and tigrigna wasnt established,tigre and geez were the only 2 semitic language spoken in eritrea....sena doesnt mean anything in geez while it means oh nice,oh beaitiful when you say sena or asena to a baby it means i enjoy or how nice you are or what you doing..this word is known to be eritrean..why would the return sahaba speak a tigre word?its like the word "waryaa" when you hear this you would know with closing your eyes its somalian.
10/ the daughter of the prophet pbuh "raqeya may allah be pleased with her" lived and died in eritrea after the first migration in the city of debarbwa,she is known to have 2 girls from her husband osman bin afan may allah be pleased with him,Today you will find many jeberti trying to tell you they are her desandants somehow loool i doubt it though only a handfull are connected to those who migrated but you never know coz a big mix been happening in eritrea for the last few 1000's of yrs,the majority are beja especailly the balaw kalaw ,tigre,tigrigna,afar,kunama,nara who converted and migrated to islam and lived in the tigrigna areas thats why eritrean tigrigna of eritrea are known as "KEBESA".
