That is the problem you face when you marry outside ur race...most mixed children have identity crisis.The biggest reason why pple should stick to their own.

So Amina just talk with ur son and rest of ur children about this issue and explain for them that they are not just somali but half canadian to.You cant just wipe out ur family dear.

I am sorry but I do not agree with this statement. For starters, I don't sound Somali or look Somali. I just cook Somali food.

You know.. that is true...sometimes. But Alhamdulillah my kids don't have an identity crisis. Emphasis is put on religion and not culture. As for those "friends" that said that to my son...well, they were kids just bothering him.
