New World record fee CR7 $131 million man

Postby Moguul21 » Thu Jun 11, 2009 2:23 pm

CR7 transfer fee of 80 million pounds, Real Madrid must be crazy club.

Manchester United have accepted a potential world record £80m bid from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

"United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player," read a statement from the Old Trafford club.

KAKA & C. RONALD be enough to bring trophies to Madrid next season? I doubt it.

After the Champions League final he criticised Sir Alex Ferguson's tactics, he threw his toys out of the pram in the derby with Manchester City after he was substituted. He's been very high maintenance    . And £80m is hard to resist.

I bet Sir Alex Ferguson must be laughing now. This Kid is arrogant and he definitely not a team player.

Regardless what Real does or how much money they spend I think FC BARCELONA will remain best team on the planet

I think CR7 exit is good for PL because for many years MAN U dominated English league, it's about time stupid Arsene Wenger opens his cash book like Banitez and Ferguson.

I dont think the loss (if gaining 80mill is considered a loss lol)....of Ronaldo will suddenly spell the end of United. Yeah, they dominate english football laakiin everyone knows Fergie knows how to rebuild his squad when a big name leaves. He done it with Cantona, Beckham, Keane...im sure he'll do alright now as well. It might be a bit of a knock but its also just a question of wheather the other clubs can capatilse on this. Mainly the gunners...

his game is not suited for La Liga..

SAF knows when it's time to let go a player and cash in.............we should buy Arjen Robben somewhat prone to injuries but great player when he's fit.

Man U bought CR7 just under 13 Million pounds today they sold him for 80 million pounds that is 67 million pound profit.

A lot of people forget these clubs are private companies and they are there to make money for its owners and share holders.

I personally would say there are 5 top players in the world right now which any team would love to have.

Intiesta long contract with Barcelona
Xavi long contract with Barcelona
Messi Long contract with Barcelona
Kaka New long contract with Real Madrid
CR7 New long contract with Real Madrid

Now the 80 million question is who should Man U get as replacement for Christiano Ronaldo?

Was waiting for this topic looool

On a serious note my analysis is as follows:

No doubt the best player in the world, even better than messi. He is quicker, equally as technical, better shooting, more prolific in front of goal, better ariel ability and better set pieces. Hence why he commands a fee that has smashed previous records. Will be impossible for united to find a direct replacement and will leave a massive gap. The fella was a match winner, a big game player and an absolute monster. Arsenal fans can def confirm this for me ahahahahha.

80 million is no joke, lets put that amount in context. Take Arsenal football club, who are worth an estimated 425million. So that is saying Ronaldo is arguably worth 20% of the value of 24 first team players, a brilliant stadium, a top of the art training ground, technical expertise in wenger and pat rice and lastly an immense brand name that has existed for a centurie. Once i put it like that, 80 million is an incrediable amount and united should bite madrids hand off.

Is ronaldo bigger that united? hell no. I have 100% faith in Fergie, remember class players like Robson, Beckham, Ince and Van nistelrooy have all been shown the door by Fergie and the man continues to un earth more great talent.

Ronaldo cannot even be mentioned in the same breath as legends like Law, Charlton, Best, Robson, Cantano, Giggs and scholes.

United made Ronaldo and i guarantee you my life the fella will never replicate the form of the past 2 seasons.

Him leaving will give a chance to Nani, Tosic, Rooney, Anderson etc to shine.

Good bye and good riddance.

Nobleman,

The guys you mentioned Nani, Tosic, Rooney and Anderson are all garbage, especially Rooney if anyone think that guy is world class player then your football IQ must be checked, since we are talking about world class players likes of Messi and Kaka currently those guys two are not in the market, where does Man U go from here? at least from CR7 replacement perspective?

looooool, Nobleman...it looks like ur taking this quite bad maad is tidhi? All those digs at Arsenal...looool

Nani is on his way out I heard...Roony has a thing for goal draughts...Anderson?..Horta how many times was that guy subbed last season...Is he even a regular 1st teamer?

Anyway...Ronaldo was the type of player that scored goals no matter how shit he was playing on the day. The combined goals of Shrek, Berba and Tevez still does not amount to the Ronaldo score tally. What are poor United goona do? Any player you would want to buy would auomatically look first at the spansish league, becuase come on lets face...that where all the names are.
EPL: Yeah entertaining and play great football and our clubs dominate europe... but its always hard for a player to adapt here. Plus they hate the weather. So who are United gonna lure huh? Yeah 80mills a lot...but ur never gonna be able to prize the best names away from their clubs. No chance. Ur gonna have to sticj to buying a host of smaller names who no1 knows much about laakiin are always said to be one of the rising stars to the game and just hope the gambles pay off...

United next season - 4th maybe?

1londoner,

About EPL is the best league in the world and English teams dominating Europe, I must disagree with you on this one, first of all EPL is the most popular league in the world agreed because the amount of money that English clubs are spending on the transfer market said that any skill full and technical player would definitely not choose EPL because of terrible style of play of the EPL, for example if you watched CL final between Barca and MU, I saw Barca standing in big circle and man u chasing the ball in the middle also it seems that English teams only knows how to shoot at goal and how to pass long balls which I find very unattractive football.

I think Nobleman is intoxicated.

Do you know the price tag in Messi's contract? $100, 000,000. That is the price of the little genius, but b4 anyone even entertains the idea of luring him away from Barca, he has to repay Barca's favor.

I agree with Londoner, CR is a crab player and have no technique if his life depends on it. He scores goals, I give u that plus two to three step-overs. Well, Manure will struggle to get fifth place with Villa And Everton next season
