If this article is true which i will be researching. If it is true it still don't matter as ahlul sunnah is apart of the tfg and the tfg respects the borders of puntland as you all watched from the congressional hearing that america policy will be to support puntland and somalia. Marka we can work with ahlul sunnah organization and there is no problem.

Don't be worried puntlanders, ahlul sunnah is apart of the tfg and respect the government laws. The government laws are clear regarding puntland autonomy. Marka don't stress it and let the marexan guy work u up. He just want to see puntland fall under control of islamist just like his clan has.

of course tribalism came to us with Islam as some of our tribal customs mirror those of arabs especially the concept of blood money (diyah). We're unique among black Africans with our clan system and that is due to Islam.


And you're wrong regarding tribalism being our problem. Tribalism was mobilizing factor not causal factor. But tribalism as mobilizing factor has lost its currency. Today it's replaced by Islam. A virulent form of Islam. Now, if it was plain ol' Somali Islam then I would have dismissed the current mess as Somali politicking as usual since Somali Islam was perfectly compatible with Somali politics. In fact, it didn't appear odd to Somalis to see secular militias (USC, SNM, SSDF etc) calling themselves Mujahids.

But we got dark clouds over the horizon. There is a death cult masquerading as Islam that has visited our shores and it's spreading its deathly miasma over our land. It's changing the very face of Somali politics (for good?). We can't dismiss that as business as usual or minor blip on the map. It is fundamental change. Therefore, we can objectively say the current and near future problems of Somalia is and will be caused by Islam. Not the old Somali Islam but the new, virulent, nihilistic, joyless Islam peddled by Wahhabis and Al Qaeda.

Even Somalis in the diaspora are not immune from falling ill from this new ailment. Look at the number of violent/extremist views espoused by members of this forum; look at the number of kids who committed suicide bombings in the West or whose plots were foiled; look at the number of Somalis arrested for terrorism all over the West... are these products of triablism/Somali politicking or Islam?
