Mogadishu being the capital of Somalia and much of the south will not benefit from a so called Federal system in Somalia, the main interest if a government comes in Somalia it needs to work and needs centralize the government , in Mogadishu. A strong government in Mogadishu can solve the problems, not different entity’s such as puntland galmudug or the so called jubbaland. now since the tfg was established in 2004 they never showed the Somali people how the federal structure of a government of Somalia would look like , not even a single plan was brought on the table.
Most of the south is self sustainable, because of the great agricultural land; most of the south is very productive unlike other parts of the country that have good governance.
Somalia from the begin 1960 was never a federal country It used to have national unity government and its parliament was in Mogadishu it didn’t had 2 or several parliaments across the country. Which is ridicules to have a federal constitution while Somalis have the same language color culture religion
A country of 12 provinces should work on its national unity not on division.
Somalia is already divided in to smaller clan fiefdoms a national unity government must build bridges between the people so, it’s not in the interest of the people of Mogadishu a federal state
