USA: How U feel about your health care plan or lack thereof?

Postby FAH1223 » Thu Jul 30, 2009 6:09 pm

Just want to post a poll to see how everyone here feels about their present health care plan. National polls are suggesting the American people are comfortable keeping what they have instead of changing to something else or something unknown to them. Let's see if SNET agrees.

I don't live in U.S but by its very nature as a government administered program, you can count on it to be wasteful and inefficient. I have seen nothing at this point that would lead me to believe otherwise that the government would be a better steward of my health care than private industry.

Mandatory, too, terrible idea.

Dude there is no other choice than passing the health care reform. The system as it is works for the big insurances, doctor-money-maker, and croocked hospitals. The whole system is based on profit not health/curing ill person.
Imagine, you call 911, and ambulance and firefighter arrive at the same time. What a waste, I understand the ambulance, but what the heck the firefighters are doing -- you are not on fire. That is what I'm talking about, a process dublication and waste. Why, as it is now, everyone profits.

This thing need to change

The nomad you said you do not understand the U.S System, so before you jump into the Hannity profanity, let me guide you through some numbers, it might help you clear your thinking:

1. About 50 million people or 16% of the US population, have no health insurance, another 30 million more can be considered under-insured and about 20,000 die each year from treatable illnesses.
2. About 52% of personal bankruptcy is due to a healthcare cost.

The U.S is the only developed nation that people go to bankcrupcy becuase of healthcare.

Now dont just come here and tell us Liberals, come up with pretty good argument else mute your Hannity emulating rear.

Derbi,

Where did I say I don't understand the U.S? Quote me.

1. So?
2. Doesn't matter.

The USA is far too large to have universal healthcare. Show me one country in the world it's size that runs as a efficient welfare state. It just doesn't work.

I've never even heard of Hannity.

The USA is already a police state.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_state

It controls and manages the media, banks, regulates the financial market, is about to control and manage health care. It's gradually becoming a communist country.

Its kind cheap from the US goverment not to have a public health care plan when you enjoy 1/3 of the world's economy.

dude you watch too much fox news, Waryaa, you can talk about the cost of private all day long and justify those costs in any number of ways. It all boils down to one thing, can you afford full coverage with good services. My point is that we have to pay for it one way or another, either from your pocket, or taxes. Either way it comes out of our pockets. So why not have public health option, at least the private insurance rate will go down dramatically because they will have to compete with the public option

http://www.photius.com/rankings/world_h ... ranks.html

Americans spend 3x more on health than the Western Europeans on average, by far the highest on Earth, but ranks #72 in terms of performance according to the WHO.

Venezuela, Turkey, Cuba, Yugoslavia, Tunisia, Iran, Yugoslavia, Sri Lanka, China, and Mexico ALL surpass our health standards.

Private Healthcare is the biggest joke in history and the chief reason why the US is imperfect, everything else comes second. Health is more of a right than universal education.

I got a $666 (don't laugh) bill for my last hospital visit which was nothing more than a physical and a few vaccine shots. My only prescriptions alone cost $900 and the symptoms have come back again. Fuck this private healthcare bullshit. If you're not a union member, you're usually fucked. Even military veterans don't get covered in this shit hole of a country.

On the bright side, Somalia is ranked well above Ghana, Cambodia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and even South Africa! :som:

Hypereffective - you are argument is moron.

If the goverment that not control here is what happens

1. Media, if FCC does not regulate the media, you will see Jannet Jackson's breast and gay porn on prime time on your favorite TV channel. We all agree that we would like not to ever happen.
2. Banks and Financials, if the treasury department does not regulate the Financial systems, you will see Mr. Madov-like croock who takes your saving account money to a vacation at Bahams.
3. Hospitals, if the goverment does not regulate/or provide healthcare, you will declare bankruptcy. For sure.

Think, think, think, morons
