dude you watch too much fox news, Waryaa, you can talk about the cost of private all day long and justify those costs in any number of ways. It all boils down to one thing, can you afford full coverage with good services. My point is that we have to pay for it one way or another, either from your pocket, or taxes. Either way it comes out of our pockets. So why not have public health option, at least the private insurance rate will go down dramatically because they will have to compete with the public option

Morocco, Chile, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Colombia ALL surpass our health standards.

Private Healthcare is the biggest joke in history and the chief reason why the US is imperfect, everything else comes second. Health is more of a right than universal education.

Cuba's health care system is far better than America's. America's "greatness" exists only in the virtual world of Hollywood.

I got a $666 (don't laugh) bill for my last hospital visit which was nothing more than a physical and a few vaccine shots. My only prescriptions alone cost $900 and the symptoms have come back again. :

I got a $1,027 bill in March for a dental visit in December and all I got was a 10 minute teeth clean and check, i thought the insurance covered the whole thing

I love my health insurance plan. It is great and has served me well but I worry what happens if I get fired/laid off, who is gonna cover me.

If there is ever one guaranteed certainity besides death and taxes is that YOU will get sick someday and if you don't have health insurance be prepared for bankruptcy.

The public option is a must for the large number of Americans who are not satisfied with their insurance or have no insurance at all. It is a form of security. If you can afford private school, by all means send your kid to private school but don't quack about public school for the families who can't. In the same way, the public option is just that an OPTION. You don't have to be part of it.
