I attended a Friday prayer in Burco where Cali Warsame was present sitting in the front row.
The khutbah was about how far we've gone astray from Islam, both as a wider community and Somali community.

He said that they were a lost cause, rebels with no purpose and conduct in fitnah. He spoke about how Awey's group is also involved in fitnah and is a major factor in innocent blood being spilled.
