Applied Calculus means nothing to engineering, its for medical majors mainly.

I was EE student my first semester and Applied Calc meant nothing to us. Take Calc 1 and Linear Algebra.

Actually Calculus One is very easy man,It mainly consists of Limits, derivitives and some integrals.
The real pain starts when you reach laplace transformation and fourier series even though they are easy if you have a good understanding of differential equations and integration.

P.S
did you drop out from EE? anyway,Applied calc is very important but not that hard.

I'm laughing cause AP Calculus is taken in high school not in college/university.
Also there is intro to engineering, but I never heard basic electrical engineering.

If you want to be electrical engineer (4 year degree) you have to take the following math courses

Differential Calculus, integral Calculus, Differential Equations, linear algebra,Probability and Statistics.

SDM, no high school offers Applied Calc, its mainly for medical & pharmacy majors and some business majors. Its an entirely college math level.

Calc 1, just straight Calc 1 is better suited for engineering majors. Don't ask why, I don't know, but that's what everyone says.

I don't know what type of high school you attended, but I had Applied calculus my junior year in high school. Its introductory course about calculus not even real calculus. You take that after trigonometry.

Calc 1 is after Trig, Applied Calc is a totally different ball game suited for specific fields, specifically non-engineering.

We might be in totally different systems.
