Which is why I am not surprised when I see the unintelligent, the impatient, the irrelevant talking about 'lost causes' resigning themselves to defeat and generally contributing nothing but negativity.
Do you really think the nation will falter and be destroyed by minor threats like religious militia's (with the exception of Shabab) and clan skirmishes, considering what it has been through the last two decades? Did you really think a war with as many complex factors as the Somali civil war would be resolved cleanly or quickly? Are you that idiotic?
See, the issue is age and naivety. I can not have been the only person to have observed that those who whine about 'cursed futures', etc. are mainly children, not old enough to understand the past and therefore learn from it. There is really nothing to get worked up about. My powers of analysis are not common, but it should be easy enough to notice that there is a transition happening as we speak regardless of level of intellect.
We are going from clan battles to war between entire ideologies. That is progress, we are understand the skills of manipulation, without which Puntland would not be in the state it is. We are realizing that threats of secession, isolation, etc. mean nothing and should not be dignified with responses. We are developing.
Ultimately, if after reading this you still believe the future is hopeless and bleak you were never of worth. You are a mere pawn, who lack the virtue of patience. Who cannot understand that relaxing and watching the developments and actually understanding regional politics is worth more than running around screaming 'The Ethiopians/Kenyans/Americans are coming!".
The lost, the useless resort to self-hatred and empty sensationalist predictions. The future leaders understand the importance of reasonable optimism. They under that we have been through worse and the stuggle is not open, but they also comprehend that fear-mongering about annexation, invasion, etc. are weapons of the weak and that it will not happen.
Whoever is the victor, a nation will exist after this period of turmoil. That isn't in question.
