Postby Somalian_Boqor » Sun Sep 06, 2009 10:27 pm

Breaking News: Major Somali Gov't Offensive" On Mogadishu will soon be launched in coordination with AU Troops who we all know can now go out of their bases to hunt the terrorist down, where ever they been be hiding.

This is great news indeed, Also Thousand of Somali National Troops that have been training in Djibouti are headed to Mogadishu to finally bring a end to Al Shabaab iyo adeer Dhir Aweys quest for the Presidential seat.

Islamist rebels gear up for possible "major Somali gov't offensive"

Somali Islamist group of Al-Shabaab on Sunday has said it is ready for a major confrontation with the government as the radical group reinforces its positions around the Somali capital Mogadishu, spokesman for the group said.

Numerous trenches are currently being dug in most of the frontlines between Al-Shabaab and the Somali government forces and African Union (AU) peacekeepers in Mogadishu, in preparation for what the rebel group calls "a major aggression" from Somali government forces and AU peacekeepers.

"We are digging the trenches to prevent the enemy forces from making any progress towards our positions in their planned major aggression against us," Sheikh Ali Mohamoud Rage, the spokesman for Al-Shabaab, told reporters in Mogadishu on Sunday.

The Islamist group, along with the other allied faction of Hezbul Islam, control much of the restive coastal Somali capital where the daily confrontation with the government forces backed by the 5,000-strong AU peacekeepers have claimed the lives of many, mostly civilians.

Somali government officials have repeatedly stated their determination to regain control of the nation's capital.

Somali Foreign Minister Ali Ahmed Jama said the government intends to spread its authority throughout the country and the capital in particular.

Jama revealed that the Somali government, at the AU summit in Libya, requested the full deployment of the 8,000-strong peacekeeping forces and the changing of the mission's mandate to enable the forces to carry out pre-emptive strikes against rebel forces.

Mandate of the AU forces is currently limited to providing protection to senior Somali government officials and guarding main government installations in Mogadishu including the sea and airport.

If you fail once you must try again and again until you succeed.

Also Yusuf's problem wasn't with Al Shabaab but those funding alshabaab openly in Mogadishu, such as the Businessman iyo Qabil's.

Habar Gidir were the number one obstable to the last regime as a qabil, it isn't the same today.

A few crazy abgaal helping out Al Shabaab in a few nighborhoods in Mogadishu can be taken care off.

The 4,500 Amison troops are well trained and greatly equipped, and in noway be compared to the rag tag Oromo Militia sent to Mogaddishu by Ethiopia.

Within Hawiye, Habar Gidir are the most Powerful. Anyone or anything they do not fully support can be easily destroyed.

This adminstration has a golden opportunity for once in for all to finish up Al Shabaab iyo the few supports they have in the South today. And I for one expect nothing less of that.

unlike the previous regime the new new regime in hamar is fighting a divided islamist
abdulahi mele yusuuf was fighting a united front of islamist.

the donkey president in mogadishu is fighting the remnants of the ICU who are recruiting n`*ggers in the shabelle and heavily intocicated mooreyaans who are for rent just for 1 dollar a day.

even a kid could win over al shabab now with the international support the donky president is getting

if the donky president can`t handele the pressure from al shabab I say bring back abdulahi "donkey slayer" yusuuf

all hail the donkey

Somebody needs to put a bullet in Sh. Aweys dome while on a morning jog. If some of the leaders of the opposition are taken out, we'll find out how organized these imbeciles are. I doubt it though. The fighting that's been going on the last 9 months was nothing but a paintball game minus civilian casualties. Real gains needs to be made to change this deadlock.
