Anyone who actually believes this is commiting shirk. Is there proof that this is what mainstream shia believe or is it the exterme sect?

these are well known facts which shia won't deny... but if you wanna see for yourself, so to speak, go to their base, i.e. their own websites (although they'll openly deny that the quran isn't hidden with their mahdi due to their deception, the rest they're proud of).

Just like abdalla11 said. There are lot of ahadiith and authentic quotes from great asxaab and great people of Islaam about love for ahlul bait. Muslims must love ahlul bait no doubt and no one denies this. The question is how this is related to shiica? We also need to love all the prophets including Ciisaa. So are we christians or do we see their level and type of love for Ciisaa acceptable?

Loving the ahlelbayt is not something unique of shiasm. Heck,they hate some members ahlelbayt thats why u hear them insulting Bibi Aisha r.a,and Bibi Hafsa r.a, and deny membership to others such as al abbas,aqiil ibn abi talib. Iam sufi sunni who loves ahlelbayt,and would join ali r.a to fight against muawiya(may Allah forgive him) ,also join al-hussain r.a to fight yazid(may Allah curse him).
To declare shias as kafir,is wrong. I did the same thing in the past. We have no right to say shias are kafir because they believe in the same Allah and same prophet pbuh.

Thirty years ago, there was no Internet and most camel herders had no way of sharing their views in this explicit way. Today, with the advent of mass media and the net, every last camel herder has strong views and they are all as correct and infallible as a so-called Shica Imam!

But, come my children; let us sift through the debris. Nothing here is as clear-cut as it seems. I see some defending the Shica as being righteous and beyond dispute. I see others calling them Kaffirs and scouring the darkest corners of Google to prove their point.

Thing is, Google will unearth sites that support the Shica and others that disparage them. Who is right and who is wrong? Was the sheikh of Al Azhar correct when he said that the madhab of the 12 was an acceptable Islamic Sect and was equivalent to the four Sunni Sects? Many scholars supported him on this fatwa! Or was the Mufti of Saudi Arabia wrong when he said that the Shica were out of the fold of Islam? Again, many scholars vehemently support him on this.

Some people argue that the Azhar scholars are mercenaries that are ready to sell a fatwa to whomever requests one. Some argue that their application has always been weak (and would even cite a story about Napoleon!). It is all politically motivated they will say.

Others argue that the Saudi scholars are in the pay of their King and would issue any fatwa meeting the approval of their monarch. They use as an example the events of 2006 when Hezbollah was fighting the Israelis in Lebanon. At the time, Sh. Ben Jebreen (raximaho Allah) was reported to have issued a fatwa arguing that Sunni’s should not support Hezbollah. However, within days of this fatwa, many other Saudi scholars came out refuting it and saying that ALL Muslims should unite in fighting the Zionists! It is all politically motivated?

The best of the lot is that many Sunnis accuse Shica’s of being Zionist moles (just like the example by the poster above about Abdullah Bin Saba). But this is not all, what is even funnier is that many Shica accuse Sunnis of being Zionist moles (they refer to the Saudis as Bani Qaynoqac – the ancient Jewish tribe in Arabia).

Now, my highly excitable but utterly confused children, what’s a camel herder to do when faced with such a host of contradictory facts and views? Flip a coin?
