E.S do you mean if he has any plans on going to somaliland - cause in south somalia ama puntland is very dangerous for white visitors - they abduct them in the mountains or even worse al shabab kidnapping like they did to the other canadians in the south

My Somali is terrible, I can muddle through some phrases to get the basic meaning but my pronounciation is atrocious.
I would like to visit Harar, Hargeisa and Djibouti soon, and if things ever calm down in Xamar I would love to go there as well as Kismaayo. I wouldn't mind going to Bosaasoo as well, though I'm a bit concerned about Puntland these days, I wonder now if I'd be kidnapped if I went there.
My commitments here will keep me from travelling for many years, and I'm optimistic peace will be achieved in Somalia soon.
