Yemen captures seven somalis fighting with Shia Zaydi Group

Yemeni armed forces have captured seven Somalis while they were fighting with al-Houthi rebels in Saada, according to a Yemeni source.


The source, close to the Yemeni army, told the Arabic-issued Akhbar al-Yawm newspaper that the Somalis were among 20 Yemeni rebels captured on August 11.


The source further predicated that Somalis have connections to Somali Jihadi groups supported by Iranian and Eritrean intelligence agencies.

I think with the right training a somali can be an excellent soldier the somali man certainly has the bravery and cruelty to strike fear into the enemies hearts

the training mental and physical is what instills the discipline in the soldier aswell as gives the soldier confidence in battle when the soldiers has confidence they can win a battle their morale will be sky high and they will be very hard to defeat in battle like al shabab they mentally trained as well as physically trained

The Yemeni president has a nasty habit of blaming all his country’s ills on Somalis. When the South started rebelling and calling for secession, he blamed the rebellion on Yemeni’s of Somali and Indian origin, he still does. Now that the al-Houthi rebels are fighting him in the north he has also gone back to his old gambit of blaming Somalis for being part of this rebellion.

The man is demented enough to pass off the Houthi dispute as another instance of Al Qaida uprising, even though he realises full well that Al Qaida itself (and Somali Jihadi’s in turn) regard all varieties of Shia as total and utter apostates.
