you can disagree with shabaab about many things but not the huduud of Allah swt, and in the pic the man is pointing to the ayah in surah maidah 38,


وَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُواْ أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَاء بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَالاً مِّنَ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female, as a recompense for that which they committed, a punishment by way of example from Allah. And Allah is All­Powerful, All­Wise.

ولعن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم السارق لأنه عنصر فاسد في المجتمع إذا تُرك سرى فساده وتعدّى إلى غيره في جسم الأمة فقال عليه الصلاة والسلام ( لعن الله السارق يسرق البيضة فتقطع يده ويسرق الحبل فتقطع يده ) البخاري (الحدود/6285)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed the thief because he is a corrupt element in society, and if he is left unpunished, his corruption will spread and infect the body of the ummah. He (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “May Allaah curse the thief who steals an egg and has his hand cut off, or steals a rope and has his hand cut off.” (al-Bukhaari, al-Hudood, 6285).

“Do they then seek the judgement of (the days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allaah for a people who have firm Faith”

Yes cutting off the hand is command from Allah swt, in times of poverty u cant punish someone who is poor and cannot find food. Umar ibn al khattab r.a is good example. Infact many scholars says xuduud law can only be installed by the amiir when there is unity. So what these groups in rebellion do is to make mockery of islam and turn off people from the religion.

Maybe a gun? Maybe even a copy of the holy book?).

Glance at the whiteness of the pages, scarcity of blood and length of the knife. This knife looks new. This might be the first hand it ever severed. Its sharpness is beyond dispute, as the clean white tissue (with the fly on it) and the straight line of blood on the side of the knife would attest.

Where would Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil theory apply here? Could we truly abandon truth, knowledge and free will? Is this a manifestation of his Will To Power concept? Is the man with the knife the real aggressor who is brandishing his own power and cruelty here? Is he forcing his own will upon the poor robber in a poor country? Or is this the comeuppance of an anarchist thieve who thought there were no rules to hold him accountable for his evil deeds?

After i saw it (picture), the first thing i did was to look at hands to make sute they were still intact. Alxamdulillah they are still here
