Salaamu alikum peeps. Personally speaking, I fell in love with the decor of Syrian houses. From the outside it is rather plain and defensive looking, usually very long walls, one solid big door, and you can't see anything of the inside. However, once you get inside, oh it is absolutely gorgeous. It is open at the top the houses and so once you come in, you come to an open middle barxad sort of thing. Usually they have a fountain of water, and lots of greenery being grown, like lemons and tomatoes, trees etc at the side/middle. The bedrooms are usually at the top, and there is always a balcony, and as soon as you leave the rooms you can see the middle part of the house. Anyways enough explaining, pictures speak volumes.





If anyone has seen Bab el 7ara they'll know what exactely I'm on about.

Probably ultra-modern design with many eco-friendly features. An energy sustainable house equiped with solar panels, recyclable rain water and an efficient sewage & garbage disposal system. Clean, uncluttered, steel, concrete, industrial look to it. Grey or white colors, as less furniture as possible. Huge glass windows, updated kitchen with heated ceramic tiles, stainless steel appliances preferably by Viking or Sub-zero.

Bamboo hardwood flooring or Brazial cherry harwood floors, the only carpet I want to see is a small 8'x8 arial rug in the livingroom. A marble fireplace, vaulted cielings, huge master suite with its own access to the swimming pool. Plenty of skylights. A spa room, basketball court, pottery studio, photo lab. I can probably go on and on.
