Subways Sandwich Shops

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Sun Oct 18, 2009 12:56 pm

I am amazed at how Subways Sandwich Shops have grown so rapidly. They are now found all over the States in different storefronts: stand alone, in strip malls, at gas stations. The franchise was cheap 10 years ago when my buddy in Atlanta begged me to buy one as he bought 2 at about $25,000. I told him it was haram for me to sell doofar even though he was a much more pious Muslim man. The franchise now costs over $100,000.

The costs for start up are not as expensive as McDonald's which requires at least $1,000,000. There is a healthy eating craze. There is no cooking to be done on site.

The only two franchises which don't sell pig products seem to be Taco Bell & Ka Faraxi Caloosha (KFC) yet both are much more expensive than Subways.

Halal subways have no swine meat and their meat products have to be certified to be from Halal Slaughter house/Butchery.

Yeah walahi i was looking to open a halal subway, but the franchise costs about 100k GBP and i was thinking it might cost 30k gbp with no further debt, which i could of afforded. I dont know if the market is saturated as there are sometimes 2-3 subways in a one mile radius in the UK.

I just hope tim Hortons decided to come UK side, one of the most desirable franchise models in north america.

NObleman,

Yeah, but Timmies serves pig.

Anywayz, eateries are a pain to work with.

My buddy set up a personal services company when he graduated from Univ in 1998. The dude would run errands taken online and charge a premium.

Another smart friend set up a online cleaning service that did all of your dry cleaning for you, house cleaning, and even drop off the cleaned garments off at your home or office. This was during the tech bubble and made a fortune. He didn't even own any of the companies that did the work, he just shuffled the work to them and they did it and he charged a service fee.

Yeah restaurants are hard work but the rewards are immense. I'm looking for some franchise idea and was even considering this company called 'Garage door restore'. Basically they restore the front of garage doors for home and private premises and people were going nuts over them. No specilist, all you needed was a van, 10k start up and you were designated an area. Franchise forecasts are often exagerated, but even as a prudent accountant i could see the rewards. I got side tracked cos i was busy at work, but this was about 5 months ago.

Noble,

The trick with these franchises is to get in early, make a bundle and sell it off before the craze ends.
