There is no purpose for AMISOM being in the country, their mandate makes them ineffective, they're incapable of doing anything they have not been commissioned to do. The TFG, if they had a understanding of basic diplomacy would realize that the only thing AMISOM are currently doing is turning general sentiment against them , they're not ridding the country of forces hostile to the TFG, they're not restoring peace, they're not doing anything other than slaughtering civilians.

1.shabab isn't provoking any fighting. it attacks the enemy - and the cowardice enemy (tfg and amisom) can only respond by killing women, children, etc.
2.shabab is fighting for the only thing worth fighting for - and this an obligation upon the muslimeen - to make the word of allah's word supreme and establish the deenta in somalia and make it an islamic state.
3.xamar is as good as the country itself. if it falls, then everything else takes care of itself. when so xamar falls, puntland will easily follow suit. ect.
