I think East Africa is better. Thought West Africa has better natural resources (oil, precious metals, etc), it isn't as developed as East Africa. Tourism-wise, Kenya and Tanzania beat West Africa. Instability is worse in West Africa, with hotspots in Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Liberia and other counties. Nigeria's oil wealth should have made it one of the richest and most developed countries in Africa, but Western exploitation and corruption has doomed it.

I admire countries like Tanzania and would consider living there. When i think of West Africa, I think of vast natural resources; however, vodoo is a big practice and kinda scary for me.

West Africa discovered its potential before East Africa.

Nigeria is the perfect example of losts chances and the effects of corruption..

Nairobi even Dar es salam and Kampala look much more advanced and modern in terms of Infrastucture as Lagos..
all the oil money and development went to the captital abuja which is modern, while lagos the biggest city and the centre of business is a pile of shit.

West Africa is more peaceful. East has more potential.

The average Nigerian is poor and doesn't get a cent of Nigeria's wealth. 80% of the wealth goes to the pockets of Western corporations and individuals. The rest goes to the corrupt Nigerian government.
