^Supposedly René was more than just an artist, he was a surrealist extraodrinaire. :|

I have this art obsessed professor who makes us do these ridiculous 10 minute exercises in his class and tells us to be "...as descriptive as possible" in describing what we see in a set of paintings. Never knew much about art 'till now, there's apparently a ton of knowledge & hidden meaning behind most paintings. His favorite is some Spanish surrealist called Salvador Dali. Absolutely no relation to the course, but supposedly helps students with their vocabulary & memory.


See if you can guess the meaning behind this one?

That's you would think, but its actually about the worldly temptations that can bring down man: gold, silver and women.

This particular painting is about Christian theology and depicts an experience Saint Anthony witnessed in the desert.

It can also be about accepting the norm.

They're both masked, they've both accepted each other for who they are. Nothing weird about it anymore.

u are right about this...specially in the art world.. what is it with male artists and the female form? women are most often the subject of their visual prey...to bring to canvas. :mrgreen:
