i had an odd conversation with a Snet member

Somalidu waxay ku abtirsada to their father. so if Ur father's not Somali then Ur not Somali.

if your father was the son of a Somali mother and a non Somali father, then you would be 75% somali and that rounds up to 100%

but if your father is non Somali and your mother is Somali, your only 50% and because you adopt your fathers name, you will be a non-Somali related to Somalis by marriage

Shirib, i have met whites who speak fluent Somali, arabs who not only speak but act totally somali and so forth.
