Because there are people who go into the military because they are poor and the military also helps people go to college or develop a trade.

It isn't as black and white as you all like to believe. BTW, there are PLENTY of service people who have reverted to Islam in the military.

what muslims ? there aint no muslims in the US army. but there are plenty of murtadeen, none of these people were forced to join the army they did it out of choice.They went out of their way to please America, who many people worship besides Allah (swt). In fact they were willing to die for this cause, wallahi there is nothing more evil then these people.Yet we find people making excuses for them,including a few idiots on this thread, you see them saying things like 'poor soldiers', yet for the muslims they use the most disgusting of insults. Calling them terrorits and shayadeen etc.

There are Muslims in every part of society and that is fine, it is much better than Muslims being isolated in their masajid and always blaming the gaalo for their problems... atleast some of these guys want to change things and make a voice... theres plenty of stories about Muslim servicemen who corrected deeds other soldiers were doing in places like Gitmo for example...

Your so-called Mujahideen in Somalia do good things for the people in a few capacities, but they also do stupid things without wisdom and are not trained.

Similarily, the US has no business in places like Afghanistan and Iraq and they committ horrible atrocities of which the brother who snapped may have done it because he was a mental health doctor and had to listen to these stories that perhaps pissed him off.

FAH thats incorrect to be honest. I have noticed that a lot of you American muslims have the view that UK/Euro muslims are backwards and isolated from the rest of the community. But i can speak on behalf of the UK, not too sure about the rest of Europe but that is very far from the case.

We have around 8 muslims members of parliament out of around 250. Thats what 3% of the MP's are muslims which is generally reflective as around 3% of the UK population is muslim. Also local councils are filled with muslim councillors in both muslim and non muslim areas. Key positions within the london met police, media and business is held by prominent muslims in the UK, if this is due to postive discrimantion or due to merit is a different discussion. Basically what i am trying to argue is that muslims have more involvement and influence in UK soceity than the counter parts in North America. How many muslim senators are there? how many muslims hold key positions in public domain, no where near as much as the UK. You can argue somalis are isolted for UK society, but def not muslims as a whole.

firstly, assalamu aleykum,

firstly this deen is not just about what you believe in the heart if it was we would be christians. But we look at the actions so if your actions are to join the ranks of those who fight the muslims, then we judge you according to that.

the only person who has an excuse is the one that was forced to join the army,but this is not the case here. you have men that join their ranks out of love.This action shows complete absence of any Imaan. as Allah swt says,

الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ الطَّاغُوتِ فَقَاتِلُوا أَوْلِيَاءَ الشَّيْطَانِ ۖ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفًا

as for the reverts then it is an obligation for them to leave the army, if they dont then we count them amongst the awliyah of shaydaan like the ayaah above states.

Are you implying you're wiser than them? If so, either lead them with your wisdom, or stop criticizing them. You remind me of some sports spectators who think they know better than coaches. You aren't.

America is the best country in the fukin world , I have found ACCEPTANCE and true PEACE here {nobody ever out loud told me anything offensive concerning my religion or race}... I'm thinking about joining the National Guard.. we'll see how it goes , if they accept me or not .

There are almost 2 million Muslims in the United States, About 3500 of them in active duty, I have seen the number as high as 20,000 Muslims in the U.S armed forces. Even if there is one Muslim serving in the army, it is their duty to serve a country they call home regardless of the circumstances.

American Muslims r easily intimidated thats y they feel like they have 2 join da army 2protect da country dats killing their own muslim brothers around da world. Their hearts is too weak 2 say da truth out loud.about freedom of xpression
