Walahi you are deranged!. If your Islamphobic please come out openly and declare this, but please do not insult our intelligence with bullshit stories like you have made up above to try and disgusie your hate. Your as bad a somali star but on the other exterme. Fear Allah.

I cant get over the fact that you claim a fasting man would ring a sheikh during ramadan to ask him if it is permissable to rape his wife and then the sheikh on such a reputable channel said yes. Sick and twisted comes to mind.

No i have not heard of Peace TV. I am an arabic speaker so i watch arab channels mainly, i dont know if you heard of MEMRI but they are Israeli organisation and they provide English subtitles to the crazy clerics from Middle East who are obsessed with beating women.

Last night though there was a BBC piece (i think it was their world service). They were discussing sharia law in the UK, there was a somali woman who came to see this somali sheikh at the sharia court, her husband had hit her and she wanted a divorce. What pissed me off was that this lady was told they will try to reconcile her with the husband. Why is a grown up woman treated like she cannot make up her own mind, if she has taken the steps to come to their office and open her heart to them then they should fulfill her wishes. Instead i felt like she was being told come back with a broken nose, then we will grant you a divorce.

My Lord where do these idiots come from! Crazy and leila, you two are bar none the most deranged people on snet.

Do you not understand how serious divorce is in Islam? The sheikh did what any sensible man would do and try and reconcile the situation. Many times a misfortunate incident like you mentioned above leads to a quick and hasty divorce only for the couple to regret it later on miss each other. You and crazy need some serious education and not none of this feminist bs you spew everyday.

'Of all the things Allah has permitted, divorce is the most hated.' :|

BINGO I have been saying this for a while now, this crazy cat creature is 100% islamphobic, it would be wrong to label her secular when she`s something much worse  they should ban her for her constant whining about the religion, she`s taking jabs 24/7.

I have observed the Shariah courts many times and they are unable to grasp that there are situations where reconciliation cannot work. When there is physical abuse, they suggest that a woman goes back to her husband, when he is an adulterer, same thing. Many times in Muslim cultures, families intervene and reconcile couples so going to a shariah court is not the first step they have taken. By going to Shariah courts, these women are serious about obtaining a divorce. Throwing labels around like feminism is not gonna strenghthen your argument. If that woman was your sister, maybe you would think twice.

Yeah i really believe you. Even the most anti islamic racist couldnt make up such a question from apprantley a muslim man.

Crazy your deranged! do you know the full incident? can you safely assume the man was not being hit and insulted by his wife and reacted in anger or defence? What you dont understand that women are very emotive beings, she probably acted right then based on her feelings, only to be granted a divorce and regret it the next day because of the relationship she had with her husband. Hence why the sheikh was right to attempt reconcilition before granting a divorce. No matter what your heart appear to be sealed and you will never understand the wisdom of Islam, without criticsing it because you dont agree with it or doesnt conform to your western taught beliefs. You need a serious reality check if your actual life is anything like your opinions on snet.

Every topic and your indirect digs at anything islamic is apparent now, everyone knows your true colours.

masha'allah. you're right, i'm nothing like this zindiq. but a heretic like you, on the other hand, is upon the same extreme heresy as she is. both of you, extremely ignorant and confused to begin with, follow your desires but you heretics know not. the latter its the sad part.

I dont think you understand how divorce works, that woman did not expect to be granted divorce within half an hour, divorce can take up many months, because there are issues to be resolved, for example contacting the husband and asking for his side of the story and whether he agrees to the divorce. The issue is whether reconciliation is appropriate, what if she did not accept it, would she be seen by the shariah courts as an unwilling party to the marriage and hence not grant her a divorce. Coming to a decision like divorce is never easy, it has nothing to do with emotions.
