"GD",Grant, how come you're still single at +60? You've never mentioned a wife and/or children.

Where have you met Mrs. R?Anything else I haven't mentioned?

Grant akig kaiybigan"GD",Grant, how come you're still single at +60? You've never mentioned a wife and/or children.
Single? Sheesh.
Basra is correct (for a change) in saying I have no children of my own, something that does bother me. I have been married twice; the first time only lasted four years, but I married the love of my life in 1980 and we will celebrate 30 years together next March.
My wife is a Tagalog from the Philippines. As the eldest, she is Ate; and as her spouse, I am Kuya. Together we are the responsible heads of an extended family that includes siblings and some cousins, and support and control of the ancestral household. We have six Godchildren, two of whom we are helping through college. I do not mention all this here as it doesn't pertain and she resents my continued interest in Somalia and the time I spend on this board. It has seemed best just to keep the two worlds separate.
There was a time I thought I could get her to retire with me to Somalia, but that is now clearly not possible for other obvious reasons. We plan to spend Pasco (Christmas) in Batangas this year, but sea level in the Philippines is just too hot and humid in the summer for me to consider; so we plan on retiring here now.
