Born in ceeldheere city in central somalia where he memorised the Quran at the age of 13.
His family moved to xamar to continue his islamic studies.after the civil war,The young cleric become an entrepreneur and opened a radio called "Idaacada Quranka kariimka" funded by Saudi Bussiness.at first it used to broadcast only islamic duruus but later extended its function to news,current news analysis etc.
Dahir gelle joined the ARS Group and became their spokesman.When sheikh shariif won the presidential election,Dahir was appointed as minister of information.

He successfuly re-opened the famous radio muqdishu oo aan shaqeynin for more than 18 years.
It is the only radio which upholds the freedom of speech for every citizen and free from the influence of ANTI-government militias.
