TFG blowing themselves up theory is unrealistic.
no nabeela..they used a pre-planted bomb..and a dead body..remember not so long ago they shot a somali man in the head and tried to claim him as a pakistani terrorist..if it wasnt for his family in america who told the world that he was a Somali the TFG would have lied to us and we would think it was a pakistani...even shariif hotel was on the media beggin for foreign soldiers to come to Somalia and using the dead body of the Somali as a prove of foreign terrorist..
Still, it doesn't change the fact that al shabaab are a bunch of lunatics, who misuse the religion to get what they want, hence settling old scores with the TFG and co.
I agree al-shabaab do allot of things wrong....and the TFG is not better..their millitia setup isbaaro and collect money from the poor civilians..and they even fight among them self's..how can that be a goverment or even be trusted..Somalia illahay baa uu maqan..the future look black if things continue on this path..and we Somalis living in the west are just too stupid and full of hate for one another to come up with a solution to save our nation..we dead as people and nation..allaha noo naxariisto..

This particular martyrdom operation is no more polarizing than the others, if Shabab did it they'd claim full responsibility. The people who supported them before would continue to and the people who didn't would continue to attack them, probably with renewed vigor. They have nothing to gain by denying it other than being honest.

Or do you really think the opinions of a bunch of diaspora kids matter to a faction which is running an entire country? You think a little outrage on a couple of forums scared them into denying it?

Be serious.

This particular martyrdom operation is no more polarizing than the others,
so what you're saying this particular 'martydom' operation is just as polarizing as the one on the african union bases or the targeting of ethiopian troops

ps. what planet do you people live on?

Those aren't really comparable to the likes of this one and the Hargeisa bombing, the Jihad against Ethiopia and the AU attack weas endorsed by all Somalis at the time whereas this one and it's ilk were met with both criticism and support.

Shabab won't lose supporters if they accept responsibility for it, considering their repertoire, it won't be a stretch for anybody who supports them to rationalize this.

Let's put it this way, Shabab denied it, right? If it's proven that they had nothing to do with them, would you change your attitude towards Shabab?

lol interesting question
well looked at this if you may!
if a man who killed 99 people was accused of murdering 1 more person but subsequently was proven innocent of that 1 murder. should people's opinion on the character of the man change?

But does to make sense for that man to deny that one murder when he's already been convicted of 99 knowing that people wouldn't see him in a different light? He'd still be a murderer in their eyes.

People have to understand the nature of an entity like Shabab. General sentiment towards them doesn't matter in the slightest. Being liked doesn't factor into how they rule, which is by force.

No said anythign about supporting them. The rationalle is that Shahab would not gain or lose anythign if they said this was them...in the eyes of most people who support them- they would find a reason to dignify the act.
Those who dont support him would find a greater reason to figh against them.

Al-Shabab doesn't actively propagate propaganda. They make the occasional public statement, but they don't actively pander to anybody with different viewpoints to them.

How do you think they recruit members? As a matter of fact, how do you think the TFG recruits members? They're not fighting because they support their ideology, but because the few bucks they got tossed is better than sitting on the sidelines and not necessarily any more dangerous.

Damage control isn't even on Al-Shabab's radar. I doubt they or anybody else considers Shabab are political group either.
