Do Somali people have their own opinion

Postby Lord Diplock » Thu Dec 10, 2009 3:40 pm

regarding something/somebody? or just rely on what others have said/do?

'our qabil said this and that' 'we are not allowed to marry them' etc

I hate people who dont form their own opinion and just rely on others' opinions. Presumably, if you're qabilist, then you dont have any opinion of your own about certain people and rely on qabil's prejudices.

Individualism is something which needs to be promoted among Somalis. Allah forbid, you even get those who try to brand certain ideas as distinctly 'Somali' and if you have a dissenting opinion you're 'revoked' of your identity.

Cattle fooqal cattle  Naturally, this does not apply to diinta. People cannot be allowed to formulate their own opinions when it comes to such a sensitive topic.
