No public Option yes. Everyone is a winner-- insurance people r happy, and no one with pre-existing condition will be turned down health care. Obama has done it again--trying to make everyone happy!

It is better than nothing. Besides most people don't know the progressives at the last minute stuck in the clause saying the federal health insurance programme is part of the exchange. Meaning if you don't like the private insurance programmes, you can simply ditch them and buy into the federal programme. The federal government (DSHS) decides what that buy in could be so it is kind of a premium containment on the private insurances.

THis is better than nothing, and I usually judge such things on whether the Rethugs supported it. Not one voted for it, so it has my stamp of approval in being friendly to the public.
