Pres. Saleh has been at the helm for too long now. His policies have failed and pretty soon he will pay for it. Yemeni government gave Al Qaeda remnants too much freedom. The U.S government only knows one thing, increase military aid to it's partners in this war. Insecurity and deteriorating social conditions needs to bs addressed sooner before it's too late.

They made a huge mistake by joining or trusting him , the became the SNM of Yemen. Salah cant handle them so its in his best intrest to call the US and tell them he is fighting against alqaida. its a win win situation for saleh gets money , military support and fights against the Nord

The comparison with the SNM here does not add up. It would make more sense had you compared the secessionists in the South of Yemen to the SNM. After all, their arguments are more or less the same.
