First time I got a citation. Failure to yield to a pedestrian at crossing.
My car was fogged up because my heater core was leaking anti-freeze on the floor, I got it fixed since then... but I took it to a low level shop and I never got a receipt to show to the judge.
What should I say?

I'm pleading guilty with explanation.

My window was fogged?
my car was leaking anti-freezer?
the weather was bad?
I didn't yeild to a pedestrain?
But you still decided to risk other ppl's lives and drive?
You seem to be irresponsible and I would like them to take you of the street by suspending your license, be a man and own up your short comings.

Look, I never ever got a citation for speeding, pedestrian, NOTHING in the 3 years I have been driving full time. I saw the person and stoppped, but I didn't stop all the way for him... But I wasn't going to hit him.

It doesn't matter, no excuse can bring back a dead person. you were lucky he wasn't dead.
But that is why you check your car every morning before you leave the house. and if you heater is not working or your oil is leaking, then you fix it or you take the bus, don't be irresponsible and drive a car with no head lights and then when you kill a woman and her two kids, say "I didn't see them, because my lights weren't working".

I have been to enough Court to tell you never Plead Guilty for one that shit will go on your record and second you are going to pay.
If you plead not guilty the court will ask the Police officer to come in and chances are he isn't going to show. Than the court has no choose other than to let you go free. And if he does show it's your word against his the court will agree with the officer but you will pay less. So really it's a win win.
