illogical ? such blasphemy

99.9% of all the words in our vocabulary are perfectly admissible to the Somali language

you just failed to comprehend the obvious fact that the Somali language is mainly structured through pronunciation, just like arabic and manderin, and despite the complexity of a language structured that way, the Somali literature scripture facilitates it adequately.

we most remember that our language was only coupled with literature 40 years ago, and through time as new words develop the language and and the literature will learn to compliment each other.
For those of you don't understand, Somali is a tonal language like Chinese

Also Dawaa, it is Inanka not Inanki..

Inanka = the boy/girl (present)
Inanki = the boy/girl (past tense).
is it not

inanka = boy (present)
inankii = boy (past)

inanta = girl (present)
inantii = girl (past)

subxanallah

"Oh! My friends the Somali Language is very perplexed;
It is all anxiety in its present condition;
The values of its words and expressions are
being gagged by its own people;
Its very back and hips are broken, and
it accuses its own speakers for neglect;
It is weeping with (deep) sorrow;
It is being orphaned and its value is vanishing"

For those of you who don't know Inan is used for both boys and girls however it is pronounced differently:
I-nan - boy
In-an - girl

I think anyway it is easier to say than to write it down, can someone confirm this for me.
Cumar you´re right, it depends on the pronoucation.

You could also say waa ina hebel± he is the son of...or waa ina hebel..she is the daughter of...

Are you saying everybody is allowed to rape the Somali language? :? :lol:

You are probably also one of those people who say 'I have got' or 'John and me went' :lol:

people ! no disrespect, but the Somali language originates from central Somalia, and the correct literature reflects on it with certainty.

everyone suddenly became experts in linguistics, whats even more puzzling is how our great language's morphology is being contested by all sorts. is this the notorious Somali baseless pride, the sameone that makes you all dreamers and fantazy presidents?

the topic was created by Dawwa who lives in Arabia, does he lack consciousness or even the most basic awarness of his adopted language :shock: my arabic is not good, but i understand most arabic sentences do not make sense until you have finished them, because arabic just like Somali and manderin are tonal with a pronunciational structure.

its common knowledge that Marehan, Ogaden, Dhullos, Isaaq BASICALLY most somalis are known poetic people, and its a FACT that poets are superp linguistics, thus makers of language.... thats why the origin of this language is middle Somalia pushing towards Ogadenia were these tribes live, and thats why the scripture was created by them too.

Dawwa, how old are you ?

You are drifting of the main topic with your annoying ad hominems.

Arabic is a lot more logical than Somali. The only screwed up thing of Arabic is the writing system which doesn't use vowels (this sometimes leads to ambiguities, even for natives) . Arabic has structure, whilst Somali is a mess.

exactly, he doesnt even know Somali :lol:

Dawwa, after a reminder you admited the ambiguity of modern arabic literature. next step you should take to remove yourself from the arabs mental enslavement, is to embrace your language/literature.

War been yaala isku sheegin. Arabic iyo somali are not comparable and that will never ever change. Somali is a very rich language but we don´t come close to the arabic language, there is no need for a false nationalism.
Horta what i notice is that somalis only become natiolalistic if they are debating about Arabs and its influence on the somalis :down:

Inankii is merely the referential ie. "That boy" instead of "The boy" Inanka

In Somali we express 'the' as a suffix 'a' preceded by the agreement of its gender... Baasto waa naag...' Baastada ' Bariis na waa nin ' Bariiska '
