But theories are not conjectures or mere speculations but used to explain observed FACTS. Yes, a theory may be deficient. That is why in science concepts like 'prove', or 100% certainty don't exist. In science theories are constantly change. Usually to strength, to make them more agreeable with hard facts then to discredit them. So to believe in the theory of evolution, which has plethora of hard evidences supporting it, is not like believing in God, an invisible entity or believe in religion which requires no hard facts.
