desperate Arsenal re-sign Sol Campbell!! Haha

Postby military-mind » Wed Jan 13, 2010 5:15 am

Sol Campbell has admitted the details of his return to Arsenal still need to be sorted out after playing for 45 minutes for the reserves on Tuesday night.

Campbell, who last played for the Gunners in the Champions League final in 2006, played the first half of the reserves' 4-2 win over West Ham.

Campbell said: "There are still a few technicalities to iron out, but I have signed for Arsenal until the end of the season, and it's fantastic, great, marvellous. The old enthusiasm is back."

The 35-year-old, who left Highbury for Portsmouth in the summer of 2006, has been training at the Gunners' Hertfordshire base since quitting Notts County.

Campbell - capped 73 times by England, including a spell as captain and playing at three World Cups - was keen to resume his career as quickly as possible after settling his contract dispute with Coca-Cola League Two outfit County.

He could be in the Arsenal squad for the Barclays Premier League trip to Bolton on Sunday but first needs to sort out his contract at the Emirates.

He added: "I'm ecstatic really to be back at Arsenal, and I have worked really hard to get there."

Campbell admitted he had a lot to thank Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for, adding: "Arsene Wenger has been an inspiration. He has watched me closely after letting me train at Arsenal for nearly two months now.

"He's not stupid - he wouldn't have taken me back if he didn't like what he has seen, and I have worked and worked. I do believe I can contribute.

"I really have my confidence and fitness back and I believe I can make a big, big contribution. There is fantastic quality all around the pitch within this Arsenal team and I want to be part of it, and I will make a big push to try to do that, but it's little steps at a time."

You forget to mention , Sol Cambelll was in his prime was one of the best center backs in the world, But the fact of the mather Sol is wenger's Plan C meaning if all our center backs are down and injured he will step up otherwise he will not play plus he is their only for this season their is even a good chance he won't even play at all , on top of that even ferguson manure manager signed at one point Larson who was 34 or 35 and Le blance who was 35 years of age and unlike Sol cambell they where first choice players SO WHAT THE FUKK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ?

I wonder why a Spurs guy would hate Campbell? Its nothing to do with him being a traitior to those loooooseers in white by trecking over to the mighty gooners is it...? Hmmm?

Poor Arsenal are losing the plot. Their attack is non existant (with Van breakdown injured all the time and the rest being rubbish). Their midfield can't function without Fab and Song and their defence has no proper back up (not that the first choices are any good either). It's a miracle that they're in third.

United also started sending out doom and gloom messages about the situation of the club. Sounds like they're preparing their fans for a barn few years.

Chelsea are ok but that Russian guy could upset Putin any minute now and then poof! It'll all go in smoke.

Villa are shite. Spurs are punching above their weight and will soon run out of steam. City got an Italian manager (always close but no cigar). Birmingham are a mere disturbance in the force. This leaves us with the aristocracy of European Football. The original kings. The five times European Champions. The eighteen times English Champions. The Rafa Revolution. The boys down Anfield Road laah.

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart....

Arsenal fans live in dream land. You have not won anything of note since 2004. You should be calling for the child abuser's head by now. But he keeps tricking you and saying next season, next season. You fall for it everytime.

Lets hope you win something NEXT season.
