Somali-Ethiopian War Aftermath - 1978-the problem.

Postby GENERAL_SNM » Wed Jan 13, 2010 5:52 pm

Without that war Somalia would not have been a military state and todays chaos would have been prevented. Imagine if all that money was spent on educating more doctors, scientist, engineers and the common geljiree's. I believe we would have had a thriving country with the ability to march forward. Instead we banked all our chips on getting back a barren desert and in the process somalia proper was lost. The same people abusing power on this sight inherited this mindset from those who destroyed it with the same mindset.

Please don’t blame a war on Somalia failing. In time of chaos, some individuals thought it would be good to overthrow the government. It was a horrible mistake. After being caught they run to Ethiopia for help, the same country which has Ogaden

The stupidity of these people. Would rather wait till you got bombed in Somalia or shot. Yes people took shelter in Ethiopia to escape from the death squads and the killing, and no they weren't Ethiopians but our SOMALI BROTHERS. So fuck of with your self rightous bullsh!t, I'm just glad our Ethiopian brothers found it in their hearts to forget the last war and give us a escape route.

I 100% agree, that war was not needed.

Your siyaad barre made the biggest deal with xabashi in 1988 with mengisut haile maryam in Djibouti signing of the ogaden region in return mengistu would stop letting snm operate in his land. Snm didn’t wait for a response from mengistu they stormed somaliland and liberated it

The government started shelling and bombing civilians the war kept on going a the holy trinity formation was formed cumar jeess who fled siyaad barre regime Mujaheed caydiid and abdiraxmaan tuur. Decided to attack the faqash regime form every corner . you became homeless and fled to utanga beyond the Somali border xata abihin siyaad bare idin la qaxay and left your woman and children ,yawmal qiyaama walugu cadabaya dayuus baad tahay nabigi wuxu yidhi ninka maatadisa ka cararaa wa ehlu naar.

None of them would have got bombed nor shot, had they not started a coup. A/Y and his goons ran to Ethiopia. They had an argument over a town whether it belongs to Somalia or Ethiopia. A/Y and his people got locked up and tortured. So much for Ethiopian brothers. Years, later he gets bitch slapped and threaten with death by a Ethiopian general
