Extending an apology towards Somalinet

and indeed to Somali liberation for some of my views which might have seemed, rightly or wrongly, to be pro-colonialism. Indeed nothing is better than freedom but in fairness my attempts to make a judgement between Somalia as it exists today and Somalia as it existed under the Italian was purely along the lines of development. Although one can say Somalia had surpassed and left in dust the colonial advancement when it was a functioning state it can be argued that colonial Somalia was and is better than today's Somalia. Still if my comments were judged to be inflammatory and pro-colonialism I apologize and do not wish to disparage Somali identity, nationhood, independence, and freedom over their lives and affairs. It was not my intention and perhaps I misjudged the extent to which the youth are still vociferously pro-liberation even sometimes above economic and social stagnation. Still you have a right to be and it is especially negative blotch in my contributions here in Somalinet as one of the people who have done the most effort in bringing to light just the extent of Somalia's liberation as having been waged in the expanse countryside of the Somali peninsula against both the British and Italian colonists.

Miskiin. You having to apologize for your views?? Anyone who has followed your posts over the year will know you're a true patriot, with your only concern being the well being of Somalia. You shouldn't have to justify your opinions with an apology.

Dear Voltage,

Indeed i do accept your apology whole heartedly and commend you for your ballsy apptitude in stepping up as a man.....or a woman, ..... and admitting your general betrayal to your brethrem.I for one have always understood your fierce patriotic sense and your determination for a better Somalia. In fact, i am sure had you been given the opportunity to be the president of Somalia--our lost savage nation would have been.....yes.... something along Baare part two, but a better one than what we have now. Somalia and Somalis have a long way to improve and wake up from this endless anarchy. Therefore, i welcome you back to my bossom, excuse me, i mean, i welcome you back to the right muslim path and accept your contrition and salvation apology with open arms and legs.

I apologized for how my views were interpreated not the fact I still do believe colonial Somalia was better and more developed then Somalia in its current state.
Although one can say Somalia had surpassed and left in dust the colonial advancement when it was a functioning state it can be argued that colonial Somalia was and is better than today's Somalia.
I felt this clarification was warranted when people who had called the English Queen "Queen Mum", such as Emperior, have attacked me for pro-colonialism sentiment. Indeed I would also like to applaud this development as it shows me the extent to which I have emancipated my Somaliland brothers by showing them the extent of their Somalia Italiana brothers' pride and independence in being staunch anti-colonialists even when the Italian colonization was greatly more positive then the British colonization of Somaliland. If the Italians who had contributed to Somalia Italiana have been demoted in honor of pride and independence, what reason do individuals such as Emperior have for calling the English Queen "Queen Mum" when the English did not so much as contribute to any development even worth a grain of salt in Somaliland? They understand this now and if anything I believe perhaps this episode has done more good then harm if it makes them talk like this:

Went from:
I love how the British Conquered the world The greatest Empire of all times. And the queen Is just a symbool
british Protectored :sland:
To this in the last couple days in the Italian threads:
Voltage why u love gumeysii so much Do you know how much bloodshed was shed for impendence way dadka aad u gumeynaysa for what
yes Somalia has its problems but the Somali problems will be solved by Somalis , it needs a Somali solution not, for the Italians to return. And colonize it all over again , how is that going to work and then Somalis will fight against the colonialist more people will get killed. Maxaad so kordhiisay caqli xuma wuxu.
No thanks we dont want the english back to our country we lost to many peoples with the war against the British.

This is much better :sland:
Voltage gumeysi jecella tallow maxa lugu yidhi Gaalada wax civilizegereysa cajiib
We fought a long war against the British , we don’t want them back to our country ha naga maqnadan.
The only thing the British build for us was the hargeisa airport that was about it
I don’t what them back

Emperior we know your history brother. I am glad you have become emancipated by this topic. You should be as proud and independent as your Somalia Italiana brothers. They always said the one treat the best baa kibro while the one you neglect baa kugu dheg naado.
