Right. Now tell me why I rarely see Somali girls in jilbab? It's mostly older women, mothers, and grandparents.
Do you live in my city? No. Right.
I doubt Minneapolis has a large segment of jilbab wearing younger girls and if they do not anything to be classified as approaching a majority. Tuug la qabtay talo maleh. Habrahi baa kaa baxsan waayay  :lost:

Why are always the ignorants the ones who give religious verdicts?

Niqaab is not fard but it is highly recommended (mustaxab)

I personally don't believe wearing the niqaab in Western countries is a good idea, especially under this current climate of Islamophobia. It's not compulsory, and it creates unnecessary hardships. I respect any woman's decision to wear it and admire their devotion to the Diin, but you also have to weigh the pros and cons. In a Muslim country, I'd encoourage it but in a Western country, not so much.

Its funny, outside of the west, the niqaab is used to hide ones self when sinning...in the West, its a sign of a religious person. I say women should be free to wear whatever they want to wear, many sisters I know are doing it for the extra ajar exactly because of the hardships they know they will face.

That's the argument used by most people. Although it's a fair argument, but where does it stop? First they convince us that the Niqaab is not compatible with Western society, and that it is an extreme form, and next stop will be the hijaab. They've already started that in France.

Allah SWT Says in the Qur'an (something to the effect of) "Allah intends ease for you". Wearing a niqaab in a country fearful/mistrusting of the niqaab when it's not even waajib is creating unnecessary hardships for yourself. You should never compromise your religious obligations for any reason, but this is not obligatory. It's not about refraining from it to appease gaalada, it's about avoiding the unnecessary difficulties you'll actively contribute to by wearing it in a non-Muslim country.

I liked when Somalis burry their small heads into the sand and pretend their problem will go away. Yes, wearing this ugly focking purdah is a problem for Somali women, who were led to believe it is necessary. These Illiterate women were brain washed by Whahabia cult.

Just because there are two verses in the Holy Koran that mentions Hijab (Suratul Noor and Al Ah Zaab) doesn't mean we have picture of hijab in the Koran and real Hijab is the one that Somali women wear.

Somali women in the west face discrimination day in and day out by wearing this ugly flour sacks. Their job application were turned down and they get dirty looks whenever they come to public places.
I
n 1994 I listened a Somali Sheikh whose name was Qudubi challenging this big ugly tent Somalis called Hijab--forget Niqab. No Somali Whahabi put a fight against Qudubi's argument. And to me his argument is still valid. Qudubi is Islaah, Somali branch of Islamic brotherhood. Qudubi's lecture is available at Islaah library.

It is time to free these poor women from Whahabia ideological yoke.

Man, Somalinetters know how to butcher the fuck out of topics. This is for most of what i've heard on this topic.

My question was WHY DO LIBERAL SOMALIS WEAR IT?? Not just niqaab, but any type of head dress I'd consider fronting. In my book, promiscuous f-king, 'towning'-about, and dating fall under liberal practices. For style purposes, I understand, we can be cool on that, if they make sure to top off the head shit with tight jeans.

So why after popping the purity cherry do some women still insist on giving this vibe of righteousness? You can't do a line of coke and cap it off with salat cisha, in my line of thought, same for f-king and covering up the crime (literally in this case).

Do you see any Somali ciyaal suuq kid wearing a little koofi on his head and pulling his rocawear khakis up to front some unrealistic persona?

God damn get to the f-king topic, people!

Mate...real answer, its either to follow atleast one commandment where they have failed in the rest...or it is because of social pressure, anyone who doesnt wear a hijab is held in suspicion by some Muslims.

I laugh at the people who made this about niqab. Since when did Somali jilbaab become niqaab? Last time I looked the faces of old Somali ladies wearing jilbaab was uncovered? I don't get why any of these people would be concerned with Somali women wearing jilbaab? Who the fock cares honestly? Why do you care? I know why you care but tell me why you care.

If you asked me why you care I would say we have some flower ass assimilationist uncle toms up in this bitch  who wince and try to look like they are not affiliated with their religion or people because a Somali woman wearing what she wants (just like her gaal friend can wear short skirts if she wants and they won't bat an eye) happens to walk across a street and they feel ashamed because some non-SOmali, non-Muslim next time just happens to not like it. Wallahi waan ku qoslay cuz its only the dudes talking about this and its all about how others view it. Nacalaa waxaad tihiin ku yaal.

Are you ashamed because Somalis are illiterate? Are you ashamed because they stick out their cirid in public and stare like they stuck in their bathroom mirror? Are you ashamed because they can sometimes come off as loud and uncultured?

If you are, you all have legitimate reasons based on behavioral reason. Lakin a Somali woman by her own choice woke up and donned the jilbaab before leaving the house and she is walking on the road minding her own business....and her choice of clothing concerns you because? I just don't get this wallahi. Somebody explain to me what I am not seeing!
