Ayah of the week.

Postby Spursman » Mon Jan 18, 2010 11:50 pm

On that Day (the Day of Judgement) those who rejected faith and disobeyed the Rasool will wish that they were levelled with earth; for they will not be able to hide a single word from Allah! (Holy Quran Al Nisaa 4: 42)

O you who believe! Seek help in patience and the prayer. Truly! Allâh is with the patient.” (Al-Baqarah 2:153)

If only those who disbelieved knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; and they will not be helped. (Al-Anbiya 21:39)

"Have you seen those (hypocrites) who claim that they believe in that which has been sent down to you, and that which was sent down before you, and they wish to go for judgment (in their disputes) to the taghut while they have been ordered to reject them. But Shaitan wishes to lead them far astray." (4:60)

“There is no compulsion in religion. Verily the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All Knower.” (2:256)

[The “trustworthy handhold” mentioned in the above Ayah is ‘La ilaha illallah’.
In Sahih Muslim, the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) is reported to have said “He who says ‘La ilaha illallah’ will find that his life and his property are protected and his reward is with Allah.”]
