Arab-ization: The rebirth of Maakhiri identity

Postby oldenglish » Sun Jan 24, 2010 4:41 am

The fall of Somalia has definetly highten the awareness of the Maakhiri natives and their Arab-Afro identity. With the last standing generation from the protectorates era, Maakhir Coast and the Arab identity still lives and the new generation of Maakhiris are reconnecting. Somalia is not an exit strategy for Maakhir Coasts future, the people of the Somali would only benefit from a progressive independent Arab-Afro state.

All Maakhiris love to disagree when they are among Somalis, the Maakhiri identity and Maakhir Coasts future will be shaped on Maakhiri-Arab nationalism. The artificial creation Somalia doesn't stand in the hearts of the Maakhiri people. And the new generations of the diaspora and Maakhir Coast are disconnecting from the Somali identity as Maakhiri is their own.

In another unrelated news..

Abdullahi yusuf in a Madrasa in Yemen said "It was his dream to speak arabic every since the emergence of alshabaab".
